How to design a matching network for an 8 X 4 antenna array using Ansoft designer or ADS

You can start designing the array antenna and the feed network using the HFSS Antenna Toolkit: https://www.ansys.com/blog/how-to-design-antenna-array-5g-applications

    [SOLVED] Ansys Terminal Port Error

You may need to set a radiation field setup and a radiation box.

Why is the output of the power divider I designed unstable?

Most probably is about coupling between transmission lines, and EM simulator HFSS is showing this response. If you do the same simulation using a linear simulator (which don't take into account the coupling between lines) you will get the same response for all Sn1 plots (as is shown in the...

Simple microwave distance radar from nanovna TDR function

Yes, but the main reason the radar was invented (and still exist) is to measure the distance to a target. Resolution is an extra requirement. Now depends for what distance the 1.5m resolution is about. If have 1.5m resolution at few kilometers distance, is not so bad.

Simple microwave distance radar from nanovna TDR function

Just to measure the distance to an object an FMCW radar don't need wide bandwidth. Wide bandwidth is necessary for range resolution (to be able to distinguish between two close objects). The bandwidth also limits the maximum distance where an object can be detected. So with a NanoVNA can use...

Simple microwave distance radar from nanovna TDR function

I do have a NanoVNA and I set it for a 10m TDR reflection measurement and connected a 5m coax cable. The VNA TDR measurement indicated a length of 5.05m, which is pretty close to what it is. I replaced the coax cable with a high-gain antenna and pointed it to a wall placed at 5m. I changed the...

    Design of microstrip lowpass filter

I don't know what substrate did you use in the simulation shown in #9 but I was able to replicate somehow the S11 and S21 plot (a) using Alumina Dk=9.8 with thickness 0.8mm.

    [SOLVED] Ansys HFSS help required.

Right click on Radiation, Insert Far Field Setup, Infinite Sphere. An option to add a radiation box is to go: Draw/Region and there choose "Pad all direction similarly" and Padding type, Absolute offset. Then select "Region" and right click on Boundaries/Assign/Radiation...

    Significance of negative dBi

Embedded (built-in) antennas were first used in mass production in 1996 by Hagenuk MT-2000 GSM mobile phone. Before that the most used term of an antenna was "antenna gain" in dB. Then, when mobile phones became smaller and smaller with bigger circuit complexity, the embedded antenna's gain...

    reference for the array antenna

Usually the Source Antenna is a horn antenna, when the reference (standard) antenna is a dipole (for frequencies up to about 2.5GHz) and could be a patch antenna for frequencies greater than 2.5GHz. For comparison test (substitution) you have to know the gain of the reference (standard) antenna.

    Limiting LNA's current

An LNA should work in Class-A, which means that the DC current of the LNA will be independent from the input power. This is valid in your case if the input power is below Pin@P1dB, according to the table attached. If you have variations of DC curent vs input power, means the LNA is not in...

    Limiting LNA's current

Place a resistor in series with output inductor L1 and may solve the problem (fig. 2, datasheet). The resistor value could be between 5 ohms and 50 ohms. The OIP3 may decrease a bit, but should be fine..

Ideal product for measuring emitted wifi signals from any device

Spectrum Analyzer is the best choice but there are phone applications that can do this job, relatively accurate. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=abdelrahman.wifianalyzerpro&hl=en_US

580 MHz Lumped Element Bandstop Filter

RF filter design is a full time job. A filter syntheses software may help a lot, but is not enaugh. This is the reason that most of the RF filter designers have at least 10 years of experience. I mean guys that develop products that actually are for sale on the market, and not stuck in a IEEE...
