U of T EE Prof asked me about best solution for FSM modeling in real-time simulation of digital design with 20 inputs and 20 outputs ,with full smart triggering for gating and trigger. considering driver requirements for full network integration of peripherals and FSM simulation for DSP's PLGA's etc etc , Compile time can take several minutes with many iterations, is like Punch cards for me in the old days.

HW is older Intel based duo cores and considering 8 core or A15 Cortex microRTOS , QNX-RTOS
Is anything better that you have seen and can recommend for RTOS with FSM with easy integration with OS, External Apps and legacy Periph drivers?
